80 Family Histories in Family Tree Memories

Dear Family and Relatives,
In 2012 The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, implemented “Family Search and Family Tree.” This advanced technology includes a section called “Memories,” and encourages the writing of ”Family Histories/Life Histories” These histories are entered into Family Tree, and are available to families and relatives throughout the world. This document is also intended to assist you in finding Family Histories, documents and stories about our ancestors that are included in Family Tree. Eighty histories are included in this document from ancestors from the Dahle families from Norway, the Loosle/Loosli families from Switzerland, and the Moyses-Gardner families from England and Scotland. All histories in this document are included in family tree. They are also digitized on a flash drive.
Two books, have been printed about our ancestors. The Dahle book complied by Eric N. Dahle was printed in 1992 with a second edition in 1998. The Loosle book was compiled by John K. Loosli, John Andrew Loosli and Marvin W. Loosle in 1992. As families we should be grateful for the work involved in compiling these books. These books give us an opportunity to learn about our ancestors. Many of these books were disseminated to descendants and hopeful disseminated to others. More than a generation has passed since the books were made available. To include a history about our ancestors in Family Tree is a way to make histories and other materials available to all those interested. Some information was used from these two books with references included. Some histories were written in the books while others were not. New information was researched for histories included. Since this program is free for anyone to use, all of you can access what has been gathered over the years and enjoy reading or even adding to this archive.
To make it easier to access the Family Histories in Family Tree, the names of the individuals, the ID numbers and the person/s who compiled them are included. Some histories are included with the spouse and others are individual family histories. Most of the histories contain multiple photos, stories, and documents. I encourage you to study all the photos, documents, and all the family histories included for that person. To access Family Histories, go to the home page. Once you are on the home page, sign in using your user name and password. The next step is to Link to “Family Tree”, then “Find” (top of the page). On this page you can choose to use ID numbers or names. If you use the ID number you can go right to an ancestor that has a Story/Family History attached. Stories, Photos, and Documents are posted under Memories.
