Week 5: On the week of Pioneer Day/Performance ( Music For A Summer Evening )

Hey guys, heard some of you went to Lake Powell hope you guys didn’t get too bad of a sunburn. 😁😁

Anyway, great job on getting the job at CCSI Adam and Jason, well done! You to Brandon for keeping the job at Brick Oven. Just keep it up guys, so as everybody too.  Wonderful job…….

These past few weeks (this week also) I have been blessed to have the opportunity to go see a Pioneer Concert/Music For A Summer Evening. It was amazing to feel the spirit, as I got to see the slideshow about the Pioneer crossing across the rough plains, while the choir was singing. The slideshow was showing us how tough it really was for them to travel so long through a terrible heat/snow.

I heard people cried about the show but I didn’t – just letting you know.

The Concert also had some of the most beautiful songs that were used from some of the movies back then. It also shows some of the history of the songs too. It was sung by Matthew Morrison, Laura Michelle Kelly, and talked by Oscar “Andy” Hammerstein The 3rd. It was awesome.

Anyway, the show was awesome but mostly uplifting.

Moving on to Pioneer day.

On Pioneer day, I was able to see the parade. It was aaamazing!! took a lot of pictures and videos it was awesome. (The picture/videos will be at the bottom of the email. )

Same here still waiting for the fire to die down.

I also got to hike on the Ensign Peak trail. It was really hot, almost about to died of the heat but I had fun. I also got to enjoy BBQ at Pres. Fenn’s house, It was very filling.

The one with the bright blue shirt is new to the mission and it’s his second day of his mission.
Forgot his name but he’s cool. Anyway still waiting.

Then after all the elders were done eating we all got to see a movie. (The Work and The Glory) I think that’s what it is called but anyway it was a great movie to watch on Pioneer day.

This elder Vanehayzer. The one who’s holding the football. Hes in charge of the sports activities in the morning. And still waiting.

By the way, there was a fire near Pres. Fenns house. The fire was on a hill and all the elders and I had to wait for the fire to calm down. It was cool. Wish I could help take down the fire, but I can’t.

The one in the grey shirt in the back is elder Black. Cool guy. Don’t know about the other two next to elder Black. I forgot the rest of the elders name. I will tell you guys later on about their name.
And we still waiting.

Overall I had great time with all these elders. I got to learn from them it was great.
